Although the Casa Cavu development property in Dominical, Costa Rica is equipped with municipal water through AYA https://www.aya.go.cr/, the owner wanted an artisan well as a secondary water source to use for irrigation and other exterior water needs. Once the system is in place, the only ongoing cost for this spring water well is the electricity to run the pumps.

DESIGN & BUILD

A shipping container has been delivered to Casa Cavu in Dominical, Costa Rica which will serve a dual purpose as storage shed and worker home during the build project. At the end of the project it will be converted into a rental cabin / cabina.

"Blind" bamboo is a cost effective way to establish a healthy natural boundary or border and provides good ground stability. 270 bamboo plants were planted to create a wall along the northern border of the Casa Cavu jungle property in Dominical, Costa Rica, and 30 more were used to border one of the main walking trails.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Road improvements were needed to start the development projects at Casa Cavu. Working with the local municipality in Costa Rica, equipment was brought in to provide new dirt, grading and drainage ditches to improve the road leading up to and beyond the property to the neighboring developments.

PLANNING

This development project in Dominical, Costa Rica will serve as a part time residence and a passive income vacation rental home. The 3.75 acre jungle property will include a 3BR/3BA guest house (residents part-time home), a 4BR/5BA main house with pool (passive income vacation rental home), a 40ft shipping container cabin (cabina and equipment storage) and a myriad of permaculture fruit orchards with hiking trails connecting them to the houses and river.
